A great opportunity has been created via a new role for a specification manager for North West England, to sell and gain specifications for our clients manufactured range of hot water cylinders for primarily new build housing in the North West.

Target customers are housebuilder and developers, consultant engineers, architects, Mechanical and electrical contractors and others in the supply chain e.g. merchants and resellers. 95% of the product specified will be aimed at the domestic market, though the company do manufacture some more commercially orientated products.

The area to be covered Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Staffordshire and North Wales, although there could be meetings from time to time anywhere in the country. The candidate must live within the defined area.

The successful candidate should have knowledge and experience in a sales capacity in the Heating and Plumbing industry, ideally within a specification sales role. They should also be able to understand and absorb technical concepts and the workings of heating equipment.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join their team to help generate opportunities for the company to gain business doing refurbishment and fit out projects within the commercial building environment.

 

The role will require you to research companies an validate and qualify leads given to you and ascertain if there are opportunities for the company to quote for refurbishment and fit out works.

 

The company specialise in commercial interiors, shop fit outs, office design, as well as supply furniture and a whole host of other services in between.

 

It is an office based role, where the environment is fun and lively to work within, very much with a friendly family feel.

 

You will be need to be enthusiastic and motivated, good at closing, tenacious, articulate, well organised, a good listener and able to build rapport. The ability to problem solve will be a benefit, as is being resilient. If you are familiar with spreadsheets or have used a customer record management (CRM) system previously, that will also be of use.

A rare opportunity has arisen due to our clients continued success and growth to join a highly respected supplier of Blinds, Awnings, Shutter & Curtains.

 

The area allocated to you to cover will depend on your location but will NOT mean that you cover the whole of the South East of England, just a patch within it.

 

They are highly respected within the industry and have a long standing track record for providing a range of quality products and high level of service to the general public.

 

High quality leads and 3-4 appointments per day will be provided though you will be expected to assist with some marketing and occasional exhibitions.

 

The on target earnings figures of £50-70K are genuinely achievable and existing sales people do earn these figures and more.

 

In order to be successful in this role, you must have prior experience and a proven track record of sales success within a business to consumer environment and be used to selling a home improvement related product in peoples homes.

 

Experience with a home improvement related or visual interior product, ideally blinds, shutters, awnings, curtains, fitted bedroom furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, replacement windows, conservatories, roofline products or driveways will be beneficial as prior experience of this type of sale will enable your rapid success.

 

You will be a strong sales person and a good closer but need to be consultative in your approach to the client and non pushy. Gravitas, confidence and a good personality are all required.
